was founded in June 2022 following years of efforts by Hvar's department of culture to consolidate all its activities in culture and in the management of newly restored local historic buildings. Apart from being responsible for the management of Hvar's fortification complex, the Institution also promotes, organizes, and coordinates cultural and artistic events throughout the year, most notably the Hvar Summer Festival, and ceremonies marking the Town of Hvar Day, the Advent, and the Festival of Saint Prosper (Prošpero), which is the town's co-patron.
